Android

Google Chrome

  1. Open https://aashian.online/install directly in Chrome.
  2. Use Install Aashian above when available, or open Chrome’s ⋮ menu.
  3. Choose Add to Home screen or Install app, then confirm.
  4. Launch Aashian from its icon to open the hostel directory.

Inside Instagram or another app? Use its menu to open this page in Chrome first. Some browsers add a shortcut rather than a standalone app.

iPhone & iPad

Safari

  1. Open https://aashian.online/install directly in Safari.
  2. Tap Share (the square with an upward arrow).
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen. You may need to scroll down in the share sheet.
  4. If shown, keep Open as Web App enabled. Tap Add, then open the Aashian icon.

iPhone uses the Share menu rather than the automatic Install Aashian prompt.

Computer

Chrome, Edge or supported Safari

  1. Visit Aashian in your browser.
  2. In Chrome or Edge, choose the install icon in the address bar or the browser’s app installation menu.
  3. On a supported Mac, Safari offers File → Add to Dock.
  4. Confirm, then open Aashian from your apps.

If your browser has no installation option, use the full website or bookmark it.

Browse hostel photos, filter by city, budget and available campus-distance data, compare up to three places, and save a shortlist. Contact hostels directly, ask Ash for help, or submit a hostel for private review.

Listings retain their source and verification labels. Installation does not confirm availability, create a booking or change whether a hostel has been checked.

A connection keeps the details current.

Listings, photos, maps and form submissions need an internet connection. If you lose connection while opening a public page, Aashian shows a simple offline screen. Forms are not queued or sent automatically later.

Your shortlist and comparisons are saved locally. They may not carry across browsers, a new installation or other devices. Existing browser choices remain in the browser where you saved them.
